What is the true size of Africa

One of the things I like is how various type of data is used to tell stories through an Infographic. I recently discovered Statista, which has a great set of infographics on all kinds of topics.
A few years ago, I was thinking about cycling through Africa, there is a Cycle Tour named Tour D’Afrique from Cairo to Cape Town a distance of 11,010 Km – due to various other commitments I was not able to join the Tour D’Afrique at that time. I still have the dream of doing it one day, 11,010 Km is a long way to ride – It will take many months to cycle.
Africa is very large and the Infographic from Statista shows you that almost the entire length of Russia fits into the African continent when turned by 90 degrees. You can see for yourself how large Africa is.
