Skype to serve up personalized ads

Skype is a great service, that I use frequently to keep in touch with friends and family. Skype is changing, I learned today that Skype is going to serve up “Conversation Ads” during audio calls. One of the few places you do not see an ad today is during your Skype conversation – we are so bombarded with advertising through all media today.

Apparently Skype wants us to talk about the “Conversation Ads” while talking to a friend, no way – that is not for me. I guess this is what happens when Microsoft takes over – trying to find ways to make a buck or two of their acquisitions.
