A Poem: Memories That Linger

by bernt & torsten

In the short days we have, we make a big picture,
Where laughs, whispers, create memories that linger.
Before, we felt united, bright and near,
Every person shining, feeling no fear.

At dinner tables, we shared joy, no end in sight,
Friendships strong, lighting up the night.
A time when friends dropped by like a breeze,
Bringing comfort, setting hearts at ease.

Thankfulness showed in what we did, not just said,
Connections strong, like the moon overhead.
But now we walk alone, lost in thought,
Distance taking over, the warmth it sought.

Oh, to go back to those golden hours,
Our hearts blossoming, like flowers in showers.
Challenge not to mourn, the ties that frayed,
But to mend what broke, under skies that stayed.

Maybe from 'fam' and 'friends,' real souls will emerge,
With hearts loyal, breaking into a new urge.
To carry this old wisdom, with care and need,
Planting kindness again, a selfless seed.

Let’s count on a few, pure and strong,
Breathing life back into the bonds, making them last long.
